Observation Deck:
The Observation Deck is just a step outside the Chinese Room, runs on all four sides of the tower, and is included in your room rental

Occupying the 35th floor of the historic Smith Tower, the ultra private Chinese Room and wrap-around open-air Observation Deck command views of downtown Seattle, Pioneer Square, the waterfront and stadiums, along with the full grandeur of the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges and Mt. Rainier.  In the evening, the Smith Tower provides the magnificent view of the shimmering Seattle city lights.  The Chinese Room is adorned with a hand-carved ceiling and carved, lacquered furniture, which legend says are gifts from the last Empress of China. Other 17th century Chinese art panels, 16th century temple doors and the famous Wishing Chair were installed by later owners of the building.
