Real Wedding...Angie & Dom!
Angie and Dom knew the perfect location for their wedding once they were engaged. It was a place where Angie had vacationed with family many times over the years and Dom enjoyed getting to know them... Copper Notch Lodge in Leavenworth, Washington. Angie's uncle Greg was married here too but the most important reason was the amazing view and majestic beauty of the trees, mountains and surrounding area. The 100 year old apple tree was the perfect spot for the ceremony and the adjacent grass lawn for the reception.
Angie and Dom wanted to have a paperless wedding and opted for an e-mail invite, painted window program and clothespin escort/place card.
The look and feel was casual to match the location. White chairs, white linens, burlap runners and green napkins tied with twine and herb detail accent were used. Colors matching the bridesmaids' fun striped skirts and white tops. Burlap covered hay bales and green pillows created a seating area or lounge and the Bride's father's Husky tailgate trailer served beverages and was used for the bar.
DIY- bottles were tied to stakes for the sunflowers and dahlias that lined the aisle for the ceremony made by the Groom's sister.
The couple opted not to have a canopy and understood that if it had rained the only cover would be umbrellas. It did rain a little but that did not dampen the joy and fun had by all. It was still warm and the first dance was extremely romantic with an umbrella covering just the two of them.
