  1. Mug wedding favors - "Take a mug to remember the night": Mug favors have so many possibilities and being the coffee-lovers (aka addicts) that we are, we are beyond in love with this idea. There are so many places to order personal mugs (Etsy is a great resource) or you could visit your local Starbucks and purchase their "You are Here" series to represent your wedding location (perfect for destination weddings!).
  2. Pine tree plant favors in a burlap pouch with personalized gift tags. Eco-friendly and great timing to replant a tree with all the cut trees this holiday, this favor is fragrant and fun. Find some at
  3. Pinecone fire starter favors: "You warm our hearts". This DIY project is not only pretty but functional and those are two of our favorite gift requirement to fulfill. Something Turquoise has an easy-to-follow picture tutorial.
  4. Personalized Lip Balm Favors: Baby, it's cold outside and your guests lips need protection! We love the glam-factor of Mod Party's (Etsy) personalized Metallic Gold & Silver Foil Wedding Lip Balm Tubes.  These balms are all natural, infused with organic oils and shea butter. This is one favor your guests certainly won't leave behind!
  5. Throw Blankets - "Snuggle Up!": Keep your guests warm for years to come. Stores from Target to Pottery Barn offer a variety of blankets including personalized kinds to plaid.
  6. Homemade Vanilla Extract: 'Tis the season for baking so what better time than now to give homemade vanilla extract?! This favor does take a least a month of preplanning and assembly as the base ingredients need to infuse. Tasty Yummies offers a lovely recipes that even includes fabulous printable labels!

Wedding Inspiration: Using Herbs

Accenting your drinks and tables with herbs is a simple yet beautiful way to add a unique look to your wedding day. It's also really lovely to smell the subtle aroma of these lovely plants.  Adding a sprig of Rosemary or Lavender to a cocktail is so delish. Using them as adornments on your table settings is also really simple and beautiful!  Just look at how cute that Rosemary sea salt is as a wedding favor!

We've gathered some great examples of how you can incorporate herbs into your wedding. Tell us, are you incorporating herbs into your special day? How?

Eatable DIY Wedding Favors

Happy Friday, lovelies!

On this fine FriYAY, we are sharing fun wedding favor ideas.  Favors say "thank you" to your guests and are the perfect opportunity to showcase your personality as a couple. Keep in mind, when picking out these gifts, that you do not want your money and time to be wasted, so choose mementos that your guests will want to use.

We've collected 3 tasty DIY-friendly wedding favors that will have your guests licking their lips and thanking you.

  1. "Thanks for Popping By" - Popcorn in a jar with personalized tags to thank eveyone for sharing in the celebration of your special day.  We especially love the use of craft paper and twine to cover the lids, and think fabric in your wedding colors or burlap for the barn wedding would be fun too.
  2. "All you need is Love and a few Cookies" - Yes, your guests have eaten cake but a few cookies make for one sweet ride home!
  3. "Homemade Love Spice Jar" - Spicy or savory, let your guests sprinkle the love on eggs, roasted vegtables, salads, meats and with each zesty bite remember the fun they had at your wedding.

Wedding Favors: Keep Guests Cool With Fans

What a start to summer in the NW this year! Being the true northwesterners that we are, we don't need/have air conditioning... but that doesn't mean we're not trying out all sorts of methods to stay cool.  While placing ice in front of a fan (one of our favorite DIY AC tricks!) works for at home, ascetically would pull away attention from all your intentional wedding decor.  So we've rounded up a pretty and practical wedding favor that will have your guests fanning themselves with delight.  We're talking about the hand-held fans awaiting each guest at their seat.

There are so many different types of fans available today to capture every couples tastes from DIY to custom. We've rounded up four of our favorite hand fans from Etsy so you can be sure to keep your guests cool and happy from the get-go!
