Golden Style - By Event Success | B&E Lucky in Love Blog

Golden Styled Wedding Shoot

Event Success had a lot of fun in the newly remodeled Matthew's Winery for this fantastic early summer styled shoot.
"We used vibrant fuchsia & gold to pop on the beautiful grey & white backdrop of the venue.  Rarely do we see a ruffled linen (they are so fun), so we added this as an overlay. We also had woven fabric treatment for the chairs to make them special and a fun paper flower backdrop which is so "on trend". We went for texture with the floral which is what brides are really looking for. Gold silverware and brass candlesticks were nice details that perfectly matched the cake accent. Our couple looked gorgeous and had a lot of fun showcasing a Woodinville winery wedding!"

Beautiful and practical metal accents to bling out your wedding decor | Lucky in Love Blog

Incorporating metals into your wedding

We really loved sharing our Agates & Crystals blog post with you, so we got inspired to showcase some fun ways to incorporate beautiful and practical metal accents to bling out your wedding decor. Copper, Rose Gold, Gold and Silver are trending accents for weddings and add the perfect finishing touch to wedding decor. From spray painting parts of your bouquet, to edible gold dust on top of some dessert doughnuts, you can't go wrong with a little shimmer and shine to bling out your special day.

Elegant, Traditional with Vibrant Colors Seattle Wedding

Brenda and Daniel’s purple wedding held in Seattle’s iconic private club, the Rainer Club, is full of elegance and vibrancy. Their purple, pink and gold color scheme is captured throughout the day in elements from the groomsmen’s lavender shirts, to the gold chocolates that adored each place setting. Enjoy photos from Momentous Image who captured their special day.

From the Wedding Planner, Alyssa Hoffman, AlexisMarie Events: Brenda and Daniel selected the Rainer Club because of the elegant, formal and classic feel. Since neither of their families had ever attended a traditional western culture wedding they wanted it to be a very traditional. They were not only coming together as husband and wife but they were uniting two families and two cultures. This group didn't let language get in the way of enjoying a fun and festive evening celebrating the marriage of an amazing couple, they danced, laughed and toasted the night away. Brenda and Daniel asked me to design a "Elegant and formal wedding with bright colors", so we designed a vibrant and colorful wedding using bright purples, pinks, reds, and gold. Mixing these vibrant colors with a traditional feel is not what you would typically see however the bride loved the idea of bold and bright colors. Pairing the colors and "bling" with the rich and semi-masculine feel of the Rainer Club made the feel of this wedding a home run.

From the Bride, Brenda: Daniel and I wanted our wedding to be elegant and fun. We wanted our guests to share our love and happiness with a tasteful wedding. After looking at more than ten different wedding venues, Daniel and I fell in love with the Rainier Club because of its amazing architecture, elegance and charm. I knew I wanted cheerful colors incorporated, pink, red and purple. Somehow, the gold color came along and blended perfectly with the rest of the colors. The wedding came out spectacular thanks to the work of our wonderful Wedding Coordinator, Alyssa Hoffman and the other vendors. Miguel Cornelio, our Photographer, did an amazing job capturing those moments. The day that Daniel and I met, we connected immediately. Both, living in the US for several years and coming from different cultures, had several differences but the more we got to know each other, the more we realized how similar we thought. I married my best friend and I am excited to experience new adventures together.

Columbia Winery Weddings in Woodinville 2016 Series

The second wedding venue in our 2016 Weddings in Woodinville recap series features Columbia Winery as designed and coordinated by MG Davis Events.

Melody Davis, MG Davis Events, inspired guests by her "Vintage Las Vegas" celebration theme with her incredible team that rivaled Oceans Eleven. A swank mid-century bar, gaming tables and a Rat Pack style band entertained and appealed to both the Brides and Grooms in attendance. Inspired by the rich textiles and fashion of the 1950-60s the use of neutrals with flecks of bright turquoise and orange evoked a feeling of luxury and indulgence.

Simple Yet Elegant On The Beach Wedding

Embracing color inspiration from sea glass and the sea itself, this navy, mint and gold, Simple Yet Elegant On The Beach Wedding really inspired us, so much that this wedding is what we choose to use for our 2016 B&E Puget Sound Wedding Resource Guide cover! Beautifully captured by Momentous Image, get ready to drift away with inspiration from this Washington Island wedding.

From the Photographer: "Julia and Luke wanted to do something different. Whidbey Island is a special place to both of them so when they had the opportunity to get married on the waters edge in the backyard of a beautiful home there, it was their dream come true. They used the backyard overlooking the Puget Sound for the ceremony and dinner and wrapped up the evening with dancing inside the house.

By keeping the guest list intimate Julia and Luke were able to spend time with their guests. 'The wedding was the last party of the week so we really had time to enjoy our family and friends who had traveled great lengths to celebrate our marriage.' The result was that Julia and Luke have the most incredible memories from their wedding."

From the bride: “The wedding was such a special memory for Luke and I because we felt like we really got to be with the people that had put forth so much effort to be there for us. We were so thankful and loved getting to spend time with them, whether it was playing yard games, eating barbecue, or cutting it up on the dance floor. We loved getting married overlooking the bay and were honored to have the people who mean so much to us there for such an important day. It was simple (at least compared to most Texas weddings) and it was elegant. It was a lovely day. We truly didn’t want to leave. Our memories are so fond and we are so thankful for such a wonderful wedding.”

“Luke and I wanted to make our wedding special and different. I am from Texas and knew that weddings could get large and overdone. We had been up to Whidbey Island several times while we were dating and during our engagement. It became a very special place for us. When the opportunity to have our wedding at this wonderful home happened, we couldn’t pass it up.

Everyone started gathering on Whidbey Island the week before the wedding. We had so much fun with all of our friends and family and are so thankful to each and everyone of them that made the journey to come celebrate with us!”

"The bridesmaids wore different gowns in hues of blue. The groomsmen were in grey suits with navy bow ties. The groom wore a navy suit and a black bow tie. The colors were not overpowering but tied everything into the beach-theme well."

Real Wedding - Gold and Blue January Wedding

This January wedding from Barbie Hull Photography sparkled despite the grey Seattle weather that ensued. Featuring a pallet of gold, blues and pink, this wedding held at the Fremont Foundry started the new year glowing with laughter, love and light.

From the Photographer, Barbie Hull - "This adorable couple met in a very fun way - they lived in the same building but different apartments, he noticed she was going to be painting her place - so he like the gentleman he is knocked on the door with a paintbrush in hand ready to introduce himself and help out!  The gold touches around the ceremony and reception, the wall of lights, the delicious food (it looked just as good as it tasted!!) and the FANTASTIC dance party made this day fly by!!  Laurel McConnell (Photography) and I shot this one together and had too much fun! We had the MOST fun with portraits, this couple is the perfect blend of goofy awesome movie quoters with the ability to snap into a Zoolander worthy serious look before exploding into giggles."

From the Bride - "On our big day it didn’t matter one bit that the skies opened up in true Seattle style because the Fremont Foundry is an AMAZING place to have an indoor wedding!"

Glamour is back and inspiration abounded from the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles at DeLille Cellars.  Added touches of NW and modern elements created the "Gold and Glamorous” design.  Layering gold, ivory, taupe, mirrors and modern elements created a design that was decadent, beautiful and timeless.
